The piece was dedicated to Manuela LoiItalian policewoman who tragically disappeared in the Via D’Amelio massacre on 19 July 1992. Thanks to the decisive support of the Astarte association, driven with passion by Mariagrazia Muri, a company of non-actors was able to involve and move the audience present. The thunderous applause testified to the appreciation and emotion aroused by the performance. On stage, talents such as Annamaria Marra, Maria Grazia Murace, Nadia Merante, Alessandro Testa, Alessandro Iazzetta, Pietro Tolotta, Benisa Abazi and Terri Boemi they gave life to an engaging story, in which the different voices united in a chorus of pain and hope. This exceptional performance not only marked the directorial debut of Catanzaro actress Anna Macri, but also charted a new direction for the Astarte association, which has been active in the fight against gender violence for almost twenty years. Through theater and the essential contribution of users and volunteers, the association continues to overcome the barriers of lack of communication in a complex social fabric, and to tackle with determination a highly topical issue, setting itself the objective of promoting a more equal and supportive. Despite its destructive power, women’s pain can also transform into a titanic force of resilience and determination. When they find voice and support in the solidarity and empathy of others, women can rise above their suffering, transforming their pain into a powerful weapon to fight injustice and build a better future.
