Kate Middleton and the Principe William they moved into the new house a few months ago, but there has been no shortage of the usual controversies, especially over the controversial six-mile “exclusion zone”. Yet, there is a serious reason behind this choice, and it is all a question of security, as the former Royal security chief explained.
Kate Middleton, criticism for the new house
For some time now the Principe and the Princess of Wales they moved to Forest Lodge, after leaving the old house, full of memories but also of difficult moments that they faced alongside each other. The Adelaide Cottage, in fact, was the scene of wonderful memories, but it was now too “small” a home for the needs of Kate Middleton and the Prince, as well as their three children, George, Charlotte and Louis.
The choice of transfer was initially welcomed with joy by the “neighbors”, but the controversies arrived – inevitable – regarding the six mile security perimeter which was set up around the house. This is an essential security measure, to ensure the safety of the Princes of Wales. The wooded area, however, has always been much loved by the neighbors, where they brought their dogs to have fun in contact with nature. We are faced with a real “ring of steel” provided for by Section 128 of Serious Organised Crime and Police Act of 2005.
The reasons behind the security measures adopted by the couple
Al Mirrorthe former head of Royal Security, Dai Davies, explained that the choice was dictated by the top priority of national security. “Any suggestion that the family’s need for privacy played a significant role in the decision is, in my view, so far from the truth as to be ridiculous. It is understandable that walkers, dog walkers and some neighbors are angered that the grounds of Windsor Great Park, once open to all, are now fenced off. But their right to roam is no more important than the Royal Family’s need to be protected from terrorists and from anyone else who wants to harm them“.
The security of the heir to the thronetherefore of Prince William and also of his son Georgealways has the top priority. Forest Lodge is considered their “forever home”. It seems that they have no intention of moving later, not even when William ascends the throne one day.
In recent weeks there have been many rumors regarding the bad mood of the Welsh neighbors: some were taken by surprise by the security measures, partly defined as “excessive”. Others would even cry. “Taken by surprise, some even cried,” revealed a witness. “Two families who lived in the immediate vicinity of the property had to leave their homes.” As explained, however, there is a serious reason behind the preventive safety measures that have been adopted to allow the family to live peacefully, without fearing for your safety.
