Turin, 25 August 2023 – Mouth shaped urinals of woman in bathrooms of the men of a gym to Turin. The controversy has been mounting for days on social media and concerns the McFit gym. The urinals in the shape of a woman’s mouth were mentioned by the Turin singer Greta Squillace who made some comments to the gym on social media: “I can already imagine the comments of the phenomena who will piss in there… – wrote Greta Squillace – I were you I would be ashamed”. In two stories on Instagram, Greta Squillace highlighted what was the first response from the gym who had written to her: “Always feel free to urinate in those of women. Spread the love”.

There McFit of Turin is part of a large chain of fitness centers throughout Europe. In Italy there are dozens of McFit centers, located not only in the most important cities such as Rome, Milan, Turin, Florence, Naples, Bologna, but also in smaller towns. In replies to various comments such as “Shame on you! Other than the culture of rape”, “But did you really install urinals with a woman’s mouth in the men’s bathroom in the center of Turin???” and “Congratulations on choosing to use urinals in the shape of a female mouth in the men’s toilets. What disgusting”, the profile of McFit Italia then specified that these types of urinals, with a design that seems to be inspired by the logo of the ‘sticky tongue’ of the Rolling Stonesis found “in 7-8 gyms in Italy and several others in various European countries”, and then apologized “to those who felt offended”.
