Mr. Rain, pseudonym of Mattia Balardi, was born in Desenzano del Garda on November 19th 1991. He fell in love with music from a very young age, during his high school years. The first real idol of him becomes Eminem and thanks to his music he discovers many other reference names for his future musical inspirations. In 2009 he began to write his first songs and to use the names with which he is famous today.
Mr Rain, literally the rain lord, is the name that best represents the artistic side of Mattia Belardi. The rapper has explained in several interviews the reason for this choice, which refers to the moment in which he feels more inspired to write his lyrics than him:
My name is Mr. Rain because I write my own songs only on rainy days.
Career: Why is he famous? The abandonment of X Factor and the songs
He started his musical activity in 2011. Two years later he participated in the selections of X Factor together with the rapper Bone but, incredibly, despite having passed the selections, he decided not to participate. On May 12, 2015 she released her first album entitled memories, anticipated by the individual All I’ve got. An important success that today boasts 15 million views on YouTube.

Mr Rain is very private in regards to aspects of his private life. The only parenthesis that brought him closer to the gossip chronicle concerns an alleged one liaison with the showgirl Elisabetta Gregoraci.
The gossip dates back to 2020, when Briatore’s ex-wife was in the house of Big Brother VIP. At that time there were various theories about an alleged famous boyfriend of the woman and among the possible names that of the rappers.
Mr Rain then decided to silence the various conjectures on this hypothetical story and categorically denied in an interview for FQ Magazine:
I found myself in a gossip bubble without doing anything. I met Elisabetta two years ago at Battiti Live (Italia Uno’s music program hosted by Elisabetta Gregoraci, ed). She is my fan and she knows all my songs by heart.
Fiancée
When he denied the secret relationship with Elisabetta Gregoraci, Mr Rain also declared that he was happily engaged. The identity of the girl, however, still remains a mystery. The only information known about the relationship is that it would last for about five years.
