Bridgerton 3, how the first part ends on Netflix and what it triggers

After a long wait, Bridgerton 3 has finally arrived on Netflix with its first four episodes. These lay the foundations for the conclusion of the season, whose debut on the platform is scheduled for June 13th. Warning, spoilers will follow from now on!

In the fourth episode of Bridgerton 3, entitled “Old Friend”, we witness the fulfillment of Penelope’s dream of love. Lord Debling, shortly after asking Penelope in marriage, becomes aware during the ball organized by the queen. The adventurer understands the feelings that bind Penelope and Colin, effectively canceling the marriage proposal he just made. Penelope, enraged and disappointed, leaves the party to go home. Colin reaches her and gets into her carriage and, unaware of what happened shortly before her, tries to persuade the girl not to marry Lord Debling. Once he learns that the engagement is off, Colin admits his feelings, as well as the confusion he felt in the previous weeks.

After an initial reticence, Penelope can’t help but reciprocate, recognizing that she wants something more than just friendship. The two kiss passionately, interrupted only by the arrival of the carriage in front of the Bridgerton house. Colin invites a stunned Penelope in, so as to make their relationship official in front of the family, and finally utters the line that concludes the episode: “Penelope Featherington, will you marry me or not?”. Bridgerton greets us (momentarily) with a huge cliffhanger and with the knowledge that sooner or later Colin may discover that his future bride and the mysterious Lady Whistledown are actually the same person. While waiting to see how a revelation so potentially full of pathos and drama will be orchestrated, we leave you with our review of the first part of Bridgerton 3.
