Every time that Taylor Swift – American singer-songwriter who has become a pop icon with unstoppable success – launches a new album, the first question is: who did she talk about in her lyrics? We know it well: one of the brightest stars in the international music scene is known for her diary songsin which Swift tells his story inside, and which have made young people from all over the world fall in love because they recognized themselves in them.
Given the singer’s very full love life, it’s always fair to wonder which of her former flames Swift dedicated a song to. Many question marks have begun to arise in the last few hours, upon the release of his eleventh albumwhich blew up Spotify: “The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology”. Apparently, one of the 31 songs that compose it, seems to contain a reference to her alleged flirtation with the driver Fernando Alonso, and there should be a clue that confirms this. But let’s go in order.
The clue about Alonso
About a year ago, rumors of an alleged relationship between Taylor Swift and Alonso began circulating. In the end, however, these turned out to be just rumors spread around a bit, and although over time it was said that there had been nothing between the two, in some the doubt remained due to the lack of official status. Again according to some, who apparently are Alonso fans and Formula 1 enthusiasts, an answer comes to us today, with the release of the album.
The reference to the two-time world champion was found in a specific passagein which Swift sings: “Talk small, big walks, act like I don’t care what you did. I’m an Aston Martin you drove straight into the ditch, then ran and hid”. Given that Alonso has actually been an Aston Martin driver since last season, and will remain so until 2026, there may be a chance that the reference is valid. Or, simply, it’s just a way to go back to gossiping about something that is the result exclusively of the supporters’ imagination.
