The Community Houses (CdC) instead, they have the aim of providing local healthcare, in particular to reduce non-essential access to emergency rooms and waiting times for visits. These structures are designed to aggregate primary care services and are “the maximum evolution of the aggregative forms of general practitioners since the main health and social activities are concentrated in them which allow global care of the person, organizing relationships with the reference hospital and guaranteeing continuity of care, especially for the most serious cases for which home care and residential care can be guaranteed”..There are 10 Community Houses planned in totaldistributed in the following Municipalities of the Province: Bolzano, Bressanone, Brunico, Chiusa, Egna, Laives (in the opening photo the start of the construction site in April 2024)Merano, Naturno, San Candido, Vipiteno.

In which areas? The activities guaranteed by the CdC are: assistance to the public and administrative-organizational support to patients (PUA), primary care provided through multi-professional teams and continuity of care, nursing care, first and second level specialist outpatient care, home care, health and social care, blood sampling point, basic diagnostics , reservations with connection to the company’s Single Booking Center (CUP), community participation and enhancement of co-production.
