One of the diseases that still today does not find a real form of solution through a cure is undoubtedly diabetes, considered one of the most widespread conditions in various types and categories, but which has become popular in particular in some specific and defined areas. Diabetes is almost naturally considered as a disease linked to food, and not being able to choose “what to eat” and what not to eat turns out to be one of the first forms of concept that are learned.

But there are also many myths linked to the world of diabetes, in reality almost always debunked for some time and which often lead to a wrong definition of this defined area.

In fact, a diabetic’s diet certainly involves various more or less virtuous behaviors but it is not necessarily something “meager”.

If you suffer from diabetes, here’s what’s best not to eat

Diabetes has been known for centuries, diagnosed as a disease for some time but only in recent times has it been possible to understand how to identify this form of disease and how to consider it something extremely problematic if not well understood.

Diabetes in its most common form involves a series of symptoms linked for example to a context of difficulty on the part of the organism in conceiving a form of real control of glycemic values or blood sugar which are generally caused by a deficit in example of the insulin apparatus. While a healthy body can keep the intake and impact of glucose at bay, for a diabetic this form of condition is out of control if care is not taken.

Therefore the diet is obviously “emptyed” of elements strongly linked to the glucose content such as elements composed of refined sugars and derivatives. Generally “forbidden” foods include those rich in carbohydrates such as traditional pasta and bread but also sugary drinks, snacks, snacks and highly processed products. In reality it depends on the quantity and also on the timing, for example it is not a good idea to consume such foods between meals.

Among the foods not considered “good” for diabetes are processed meats such as sausages and cured meats, fatty and very mature cheeses and all those generally packaged products that also contain many artificial and refined elements.

Bread and pasta should not be demonized and dethroned but used judiciously, opting for example for variants made with wholemeal flours and giving ample space to legumes and vegetables.
