Thieves, fitness lovers, in action in Vimercate. On the evening of Wednesday 3 April at the Torri Bianche, in the gym in the complex, an attempted break-in occurred. The authors ran away empty-handed but would, in all likelihood, have wanted to get their hands on some weights or training dumbbells to take away.
The episode occurred around 11pm: the criminals managed to enter the premises by forcing one of the emergency exits from the outside. Once inside something went wrong: the thieves found themselves face to face with some cleaners who were ransacking the gym premises. And to escape they would have vaporized pepper spray, without hitting the victims.
The Carabinieri of the Vimercate company intervened in Vimercate and are now investigating the attempted break-in together with a 118 ambulance which however returned to the hospital without anyone on board, verifying on the spot the conditions of the people involved who did not appear critical. Investigations underway.
