The Bankitalia report accusing Daniela Santanchè: «She wrote falsehoods to obtain loans»
Descriptive text here

A Bankitalia report accuses Daniela Santanchè of having falsified the financial statements of her companies. Who received two loans from Banca Popolare di Sondrio for a total of 2 million and 740 thousand euros. Precisely upon request in one case and with the support of a letter from the Minister of Tourism of the Meloni government. With those loans Santanchè managed to obtain guarantee funds from the State. Declaring investments and supplier payments never made. The report, together with two others signed by Marco Pacini and Stefano Guarnieri of via Nazionale, was filed on 11 April. And it ended up in the documents of the Milan investigation in which Santanchè, together with 16 other directors of the Visibilia group, is accused of having falsified the companies’ financial statements for seven years.

A bank transfer of one million euros

The print he writes that among the various transfers there is one for one million euros. Carried out in favor of D1 Partecipazioni of which Santanchè owns 90% and Visibilia 10%. According to the report, after the rejection of the request for 3 million euros in financing, Santanchè, as sole director, signed the application for a new loan “falsely claiming” that the company was a start-up. Thus avoiding having to present financial statements at a loss. And limiting himself to presenting a forecast that turned out to be unrealistic. Thus Visibilia managed to obtain a 2 million euro loan «assisted by the public fund for SMEs managed by Mediocredito Centrale, counter-guaranteed by community funds». Attaching 103 invoices of investments to be made with money guaranteed at 80% by the public fund.

Backdated invoices

But the invoices were all backdated. Some from 2009 and 2010. The money went to Società Europea di Edizioni Spa (the publisher of Il Giornale) and to Media Enterprise Spa (which brings the free press Meter). Newspapers for which Visibilia collected advertising. And again towards other banks and D1 Partecipazioni. In 2014 only 390 thousand euros were used to pay suppliers. In November 2020, the dealership received 740 thousand euros in financing. Always from Popolare di Sondrio. And benefiting from the State guarantee for the Covid-19 emergency. Here too the company was declared a start up. The money was used to increase the capital of Visibilia Editore Spa. And to pay off the debt situation that arose before the emergency.
