«On the set of If I Were You Marco Bocci helped me live with my panic attacks»

Laura Chiatti she says thanks to her husband Marco Bocci. «Working with him was a gift. He had already directed me in a film, The Hunt. But now, in If I were you, we acted together for the first time and it was beautiful”, the actress tells DiPiùTv. A perfect family that Laura and Marco have created. Husband and wife have had two children since 2014: ten-year-old Enea and nine-year-old Pablo.

«Marco and I had never acted together, but, as soon as we read the script of If I Were You, we immediately understood that it was the right project and the right time – he continues to the television weekly Laura Chiatti – It was because it offered us roles that enhanced both of us and allowed us to explore interesting dynamics also from an acting point of view».

Have you ever had an argument on set? Laura Chiatti smiles and replies no and admits that «Marco, who is a much more rational and confident person than me, helped me a lot. He did it especially in the moments when, unfortunately, I had to fight with panic attacks, which I have suffered from for years and which never abandon me.

But I must say that Marco and I argue very little even in life: sure, we happen to argue, but we never lose control and we have a very calm way of dealing with our differences.”

And to the weekly magazine directed by Osvaldo Orlandini Laura confesses that she would like Marco’s «strength and integrity. Marco has this incredible ability to “walk on broken glass without getting a cut”, that is, to overcome difficulties with a clarity that I deeply admire.”

Then he confesses how they managed the distance from their children during the filming of the series: «One of the two returned home at least once a week, even driving fourteen hours in two days: it was tiring, but it was worth it. Then, during the week, we both returned. And when neither of us was at home, we were still able to count on the support of our grandparents and two wonderful nannies.”
