The sovereigns, fresh from taking part in the official royal birthday celebrations on Saturday Trooping the Colour (event in which the Princess of Wales, Kate, wife of the heir to the throne William, who is also struggling with cancer, also reappeared, exceptionally for now), today there was no shortage of the traditional social and sporting event of horse racing of the Royal Ascot.
Dressed to the nines – Carlo in a morning coat and top hat, Camilla in a blue dress with the usual wide-brimmed hat – they led the usual procession of royal carriages under the eyes of a crowd of spectators and 500 pupils from 23 schools.

Guests of honor who then took their places in the stands to watch the first competitions. Meanwhile, in a message attached to the day’s programme, Carlo and Camilla – smiling in the Royal Box – wished all the competitors “the best of luck”.
