Eva Herzigova at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival with her back exposed on the red carpet
On the evening of Wednesday 22 May, the 2024 Cannes Film Festival welcomed one of the most iconic models ever on its prestigious red carpet: Eva Herzigova. The legendary top model was in fact among the most anticipated guests of the première de The Count of Monte Cristothe historical film co-directed by Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre De La Patellière which will compete for the Palme d’Or and whose cast includes Pierre Niney, Pierfrancesco Favino and Anamaria Vartolomei, among others.
A great cinema stage that Eva Herzigova faced with her immense class and a dress with a surprise effect: an open back. The supermodel and actress – who turned 51 on March 10 – was in really great shape.
Eva Herzigova on the red carpet of the 2024 Cannes Film Festival: the details of her look
When she gets out of the car, Eva is a goddess in black: a dress reminiscent of Ancient Greek peplums but with contemporary details such as the fitted silhouette and maxi butterfly sleeves. Her bateau neckline leaves little to please the eye but it is when she turns that she captures all the photographers’ flashes: her back is completely uncovered, also left free by her hair, here collected in a small and discreet chignon. Her look is “faux chaste”: high-necked in front and almost completely naked behind.
The “dangling back necklace” by Eva Herzigova, the sparkly detail that elevates the look
The nakedness of the back is not filled with sparkly details, that is, an important jewel that captures – even more – attention. It is a diamond necklace worn as if it were a dégradé, meaning each turn has a different length, creating a harmonious, elegant and sophisticated design. A styling game that fills the “void” of the fabric, of total black. Paired with this very long chain that ends with a teardrop diamond that dangles with every movement on the red carpet, becoming the focal point of the red carpet look. Among the jewels brought to Cannes 2024 we also find two solitaire rings, one for each ring finger, but different in cut: one teardrop-shaped and the other heart-shaped. Extremely pure diamonds that illuminate the wine red manicure, a bright shade of Eva’s look.
