Six of them would have gotten out of a van in the middle of the night in Milan to attack personal trainer Cristiano Iovino. The 37-year-old Roman, involved in the case of the separation of Ilary Blasi and Francesco Totti as a witness, was attacked in the night between Sunday 21 April and Monday 22. According to the reconstruction of Il Giorno, the beating would have all the appearance of a punitive expedition against of Iovino who had not yet filed a complaint.
The ambush in the Portello area
The 37-year-old was returning home in the Portello area, on the north-west outskirts of Milan, when a group of five or six people got out of a van, surrounded him and beat him with their bare hands. The group then ran away, while Iovino was rescued by the 118 health workers who treated him on the spot. The carabinieri from the mobile radio unit and the Moscova station also intervened, although Iovino was not very cooperative, according to what Il Giorno reports. In fact, he did not provide the military with any particular details about the attackers or concrete help for the investigations.
The «coffee» with Ilary Blasi
Iovino’s name became very popular especially after the release of the documentary «Unica» on Netflix, in which Ilary Blasi said that she had met the personal trainer, but that she only went to him to have a coffee: «This guy lived a life particular – says Blasi in the documentary – and we were curious, but we only saw him for 40 minutes at his house, which was close to the station from which we were supposed to take the train». Iovino then denied the presenter’s reconstruction, speaking of contacts on social media as early as 2020 and of a meeting in Rome during a Banksy exhibition. Blasi replied to him, reiterating his first reconstruction.
