Il 2026 has arrived and it will certainly be a very complex year for the automotive market, especially the European one. In any case, several new features will arrive during the year, some of which are particularly anticipated. Here’s one selection of 8 of the most important news which we will see arrive over the next few months.
AUDIA A2 E-TRAON
The name is not yet official but it seems that it could be called just that. New Audi A2 e-tron will be the new one modello entry level of the electric range of the house of the 4 rings. We have already seen several spy photos and we know that it will always rest on MEB platformperhaps already the MEB+. It will be positioned below the Q4 e-tron and will fill the void left by the Audi A1 and Audi Q2 which will soon leave the market. We still don’t officially know anything precise about the powertrains but there will surely be more versions with different powers and batteries.
BMW SERIES 3 / BMW I3
The new one is coming BMW series 3 of which we have already seen some spy photos over the past few months. There will also be a 100% electric model called BMW i3. Aesthetically they will be very similar even if they will be born on two different platforms. The 3 Series will in fact be based on the CLAR platform, while the i3 on the platform New class which features an 800V architecture to enable ultra-high power charging. For both, the interior is similar to that of the iX3 with the new one Panoramic iDrive. There will also be a new BMW M3, which will also be electric but will arrive during 2027.
DACIA C-NEO
The new Dacia C-Neo will also arrive in 2026, of which we have already seen several spy photos in recent times. It would be a compact station wagon that should always rest on the same platform used on all the most recent Dacia models, with the obvious exception of the Spring. From what we have seen so far, the front seems to have references to those of the Sandero. Presumably, this model should be offered on the market with endothermic, hybrid and LPG engines.
FERRARI ELECTRIC
In 2026 we will finally be able to discover all the secrets of the electric Ferrari. For the moment, the Prancing Horse has told us a lot about this model but only with regards to the mechanics which will be particularly sophisticated with 4 electric motors and over 1,000 HP. Over the next few months we will discover the interiors and then the entire car which will mark a real turning point in the history of Maranello.
FIAT GIGA PANDA
New FIAT Giga Panda (name not definitive), will be an SUV of around 4.4-4.5 metres. It will be based on the Smart Car platform and will therefore be offered both in a 100% electric version and also with hybrid engines (Mild Hybrid). The style will reflect that of the FIAT Grande Panda with a front characterized by a pixel light signature. Even just on petrol? We will find out over the next few months.
FIAT FASTBACK
Another big news for 2026 from the Italian car manufacturer. We have already seen several spy photos of the FIAT Fastback, including of the interior. SUV Coupé shapes with a length of approximately 4.4-4.5 meters. Also in this case, a Smart Car platform that allows us to offer Mild Hybrid and electric engines and perhaps in some markets even endothermic ones. It seems that the presentation could be held in June.
LAUNCH GAMMA
Next year there will be the debut of new Lancia Gamma. What will it be like? First it will rest on the platform STLA Medium. We also already know that it will be proposed with hybrid engines (Mild Hybrid e Plug-in) e 100% electric. Given what other Group models equipped with this architecture offer, the new range is likely to be offered with the same units that we now sell on models such as the renewed Jeep Compass. Aesthetically, the new Lancia Gamma should present forme da Fastback. The length, however, should be around 4.7-4.8 meters. It seems that there will also be an HF version which should therefore be characterized by a double electric motor and therefore by the presence of all-wheel drive.
ELECTRIC NISSAN JUKE
It will also arrive in 2026 new electric Nissan Juke of which we have already seen the first spy photos. The third generation of the Juke should present a look inspired by that of the particular Hyper Punk concept revealed in October 2023 and will be based on the same platform as the renewed Leaf. If this is indeed the case, we will have versions with powers of up to 218 HP and ranges of over 600 km WLTP.
