Fastweb S.p.A. has completed, today 1 January 2026, the updating of the legal wordings on the official websites of the brands Vodafone e I have. Mobilemaking clear a relevant element from a corporate and strategic point of view: the different legal nature of the brands within the group.
It emerges from the footers of the respective sites a clear distinction between a licensed brand and a proprietary brandwhich represents a significant innovation in the new post-merger structure.
They are all pages of the Vodafone.it website the following wording is now reported:
“© Copyright 2026 – Company name: Fastweb SpA – VAT number: 12878470157. Vodafone is a trademark licensed to Fastweb SpA“.
This indicates that Vodafone Italyfollowing the merger by incorporation into Fastweb SpA, no longer constitutes an autonomous legal entity, while the Vodafone brand continues to be used on the basis of a licensing agreement.
The Vodafone brand therefore remains operational on the Italian market, but is not owned by Fastweb, which exclusively holds the right of commercial use.
The Vodafone brand remains the property of the multinational group Vodafone Group Plcwhich continues to hold the rights to the brand internationally.
The situation is different for I have. Mobile. In fact, the following wording appears on the official website of the low cost brand:
“ho. © 2026 All rights reserved – Fastweb SpAPIVA 12878470157 | ho. and ho. Mobile are trademarks of Fastweb SpA”.
In this case, to. e I have. Mobile are brands directly owned by Fastweb SpA, and no longer attributable to the company VEI Srl, previously involved in the management of the brand.
The difference compared to Vodafone is substantial: it is not a licensed brand, but an asset entirely controlled by the Fastweb group.
From 1 January 2026, Fastweb SpA, with headquarters in Milan in Piazza Adriano Olivetti 1, is therefore the single legal entity operating in Italy with three distinct brands, but with different statuses:
- Vodafone: trademark used under licence;
- to. yes to. Mobile: trademarks owned by Fastweb;
- Fastweb: main brand of the group.
The update concerns exclusively the corporate plan and does not lead to commercial changes: the Fastweb, Vodafone and ho brands. they will therefore continue to be usedin a context that defines the perimeter of the new group’s brands.
As already told by MondoMobileWeb, too I have. Mobile was included in the operation with which Swisscom, already owner of Fastweb S.p.A.he acquired Vodafone Italy, following the closing on December 31, 2024.
So long as VEI Srl (Vodafone Enabler Italia) had remained a subsidiary of Vodafone Italia, since 31 December 2024 I. Mobile has joined the perimeter Fastweb + Vodafoneand therefore of Swisscom Group. For customers I have. Mobile, however, nothing has changed, except for possible changes.
With the birth of the corporate brand Fastweb + Vodafonethe integration process between Fastweb e Vodafone Italy which, during 2025, saw the maintenance of the two distinct legal entities, albeit under a single management team.
From 1 January 2026 the corporate structure changed with the merger by incorporation of Vodafone Italia SpA in Fastweb S.p.A.. Previously, on 31 December 2025, the merger by incorporation of VEI Srl into Vodafone Italia SpA was also completedthe company that managed the brand I have. Mobile.
This step allowed, with the subsequent integration of Vodafone Italia in Fastwebthe transfer of management of I have. Mobile directly to Fastweb SpA
