UnipolMove responds to the Telepass price increase and extends the promo: 12 months free

UnipolMove is distinguishing itself as the main competitor of Telepass after the latter, with a rather risky move in hindsight, has raised the price of its Telepass Family subscription by over 110% from €1.83 per month to €3.9 per month (from 1 July 2024). It is not the only one however because as we have seen there are two competitors, we have compared them in detail in our article: Telepass vs UnipolMove vs MooneyGo.

UnipolMove However, it is the service that currently has the most attractive launch promotion and in recent hours has given a real response to Telepass extending it compared to the first deadline set for 7 May 2024. However, there is also news on the delivery times of UnipolMove devices with times that are getting longer, let’s try to clarify.

UnipolMove: delays in delivery times, here’s why

A topic that is being raised by many new subscribers to UnipolMove are the delivery times of the devices, once you have signed up online on the official website. In fact, if the company guarantees 4-5 days as delivery times these are inexorably getting longer and the reason is apparently twofold.

The first, the one communicated by UnipolMove via email, is the quantity of requests received in the last few days which are inexorably swamping the distribution chain and customer service. In fact, since the announcement of the Telepass price increase, many people have worked to switch from Telepass to UnipolMove. Below is the communication received via email:

The second reason, however, could be due to the type of courier chosen by UnipolMove, namely GLS. In fact, in recent months numerous GLS employees (including drivers and porters) continue to strike to demand better safety conditions at work, extending shipping times.

Beyond the strikes of GLS staff, about which UnipolMove cannot do much, we will have to be patient so that the wave of requests is processed before times return to normal, all that remains is to be patient or go to the UnipolSai point.

UnipolMove responds to Telepass and extends the promotion with 12 months free

If on the one hand Telepass has become less convenient in terms of overall annual expenditure, on the other hand the UnipolMove promotion is truly captivating as not only does the subscription cost less than half (€1.50 per month) but also the first 12 months of service are offered free of charge. This promotion, which expires on May 7, 2024, has been extended to May 28, 2024.

Therefore, if you subscribe to UnipolMove you will have the following savings compared to Telepass:

  • first year free: therefore €0 compared to €46.80 for Telepass (€3.9 for 12 months);
  • from the second year onwards, every year: €18 instead of €46.80 for Telepass.

UnipolMove and Telepass, however, are not only electronic toll services, they also offer further functions that can be exploited by the application.
