The new Skoda Kodiaq and Superb were presented last autumn. Now, the automaker has announced that it has expanded the range of these two models with the introduction on the market of new engines including the new Plug-in powertrain. At the same time, they arrive as well new engines for Octavia and Octavia Wagon which had recently received a restyling.
NEW PLUG-IN ENGINE
A PHEV powertrain consisting of a 4-cylinder 1.5 TSI Evo2 combined with an electric unit was made available for both models. Overall, 150 kW / 204 hp are available and a torque of 350 Nm. The electric motor, integrated into the 6-speed DSG gearbox, is powered by a lithium-ion battery with a gross capacity of 25.7 kWhwhich can be recharged with alternating current up to 11 kW and with direct current up to 50 kW.
The new Superb 1.5 TSI PHEV reaches a top speed of 220 km/h and goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds. The purely electric range is 112-134 km. The New Kodiaq, however, reaches a top speed of 210 km/h and takes 8.4 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h. Electric range of 110-123 km.
How much do they cost? The new Skoda Superb and Kodiaq PHEV are available in the same trim levels as the other engines already in the range, with the same standard equipment, with price lists starting respectively from 50,750 euros for the Superb in the Selection version and from 48,800 euros for the Kodiaq Selection.
NEW FOR SKODA SUPERB
In addition to the Plug-in version, the Skoda Superb also comes with new 2.0 TSI 265 HP and 2.0 TDI 193 HP engines. Both are offered with electronically controlled all-wheel drive and 7-speed DSG transmission. Superb 2.0 TSI 265 HP is offered in the Style and Laurin&Klement versions. Superb 2.0 TDI 193 HP is marketed in the Selection, Style and Laurin&Klement versions
Prices starting from, respectively, 54,000 euros and 50,950 euros.
NEW ENGINES FOR SKODA OCTAVIA
The range is expanding now with the introduction of the 2.0 TDI 115 HP to the price list, offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Motorization that allows you to reach a maximum speed of 208 km/h. The 2.0 TDI 115 HP is offered in the Selection, Executive and Style versions and in the new Sportline, a version which enters the price list at the same time. Prices from 32,400 euros for the sedan and from 33,450 euros for the Wagon.
Finally, Skoda makes it known than the Sportline setup It is available for the Octavia sedan and wagon for the 1.5 TSI 150 HP, 1.5 TSI 150 HP mHev DSG, 2.0 TDI 115 HP and 2.0 TDI 150 HP DSG engines. The external design is characterized by numerous specific details in glossy black while the standard equipment is enriched with interiors with dedicated Design Selection, with sports seats, three-spoke steering wheel, carbon look finishes and metal pedals. The Sportline version also comes with a specific set-up, with springs that are stiffer and 15 mm lower as well as progressive steering with variable incidence. 18-inch wheels are also standard as well as tinted rear windows.
