The Ministry of Economy and Finance (Treasury Department) has set the indexation coefficient for the payment of the semi-annual coupon and the capital revaluation on a semi-annual basis of Btp Italia May 2025 (maturity May 26, 2025 and real annual coupon rate of 1.4%). This is the eighth coupon of the BTP Italia in question. The reference value as of May 26, 2024 (coupon ex-dividend day) it was set at 1.00096.
Based on this value, the gross semi-annual coupon is indicated at 0.797%rate resulting from the sum of the indexation of the real annual coupon rate (0.701%) and the indexation of the security (0.096%).
Consequentially, the amount to be paid on 26 May 2024 relating to the minimum denomination of the BTP Italia in May 2025 is equal to 7.97 eurosamount from which the 12.5% tax must be subtracted.
The MEF reported that the index number of 26 November 2023 (ex-dividend date of the previous coupon for the BTP Italia in May 2025), based on the FOI and used as the basis for the calculation of the indexation coefficient in the semester from 26 November 2023 to 26 May 2024, it is 119.26667.
The index number of 26 May 2024, based on the FOI and used as the basis for calculating the indexation coefficient in the semester from 26 May 2024 to 26 November 2024, is 119.38065.
