For this reason, MSC Cruises has decided to unveil its new “Cliffhanger”, the first and only carousel suspended over the sea at a height of 50 metres: adrenaline lovers will really have their money’s worth.
What “Cliffhanger” will be like
The debut of “Cliffhanger” is scheduled for 2025, and it will be a magnificent attraction that will be installed near the bridge MSC World America, the 23rd unit of the fleet which will enter service in April next year. It will be a real swing that will dominate the thematic area called “Family Aventura”, which will be characterized by being an incredible carousel raised by motorized arms that will carry the seats beyond the external edge of the ship.
Yes, the thrill, the pleasant and fun one, will certainly not be missing, because passengers will be pushed back and forth 50 meters high over the sea below and with the sky above your heads.
MSC World America: what it will be like and itineraries
MSC World America, the new flagship of MSC Cruises, will begin sailing the seas in April 2025 and will stand out for being a true “ship of the future”, capable of satisfying every need and desire during your entire stay.
On April 9 next year, the 23rd ship in the MSC Cruises fleet will set sail from Miami on 7-night itineraries to some of the most sought-after destinations in the Eastern and Western Caribbean, with inevitable stops at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, the private island of MSC Cruises located in the Bahamas.
Overall, MSC World America will span 22 decks, measure more than 47 meters wide, include 2,614 staterooms, contain more than 40,000 square meters of public space and offer state-of-the-art features and facilities.
Inside there will be seven different areas:
- Family Adventure: The Harbor will be built right here, a revolutionary outdoor park dedicated to family fun which will also be the home of “Cliffhanger”;
- Aqua Deck: with the ship’s two main swimming pools, in the morning they will be full of wellness options and characterized by a peaceful atmosphere, in the afternoon entertainment for everyone and then spectacular parties after sunset;
- Zen Area: the ideal place to relax, sipping a cocktail accompanied by pleasant background music;
- Gallery: a lively and engaging area where you can find diverse dining options, shopping, exciting games and much more;
- The Terraces: with nine restaurants and bars, four shops and a comedy club, which will also serve as a bar, piano bar and nightly karaoke;
- Esplanade: it will be the lively and evocative semi-covered avenue with spectacular views up to the top of the ship framed by the central spiral architectural masterpiece (and the adrenaline-filled 11-storey slide).
All that remains is to wait until next year to board this new ship, which will initially set sail from Miami with 7-night itineraries to some of the most exceptional destinations in the Caribbean. A journey that promises to be special and unforgettable, aboard a new ship with a characteristic plumb bow and Y-shaped stern which will open onto the impressive open-air Promenade.
