The revolution of domestic robotics is about to cross the threshold of a common home in Saronno. In the 2027the city will see the arrival of one of the world’s first examples of a humanoid robot intended for family use. The merit of this technological preview in the area goes to one thirty-year-old from Saronnoan employee by profession, who last October decided to formalize a pioneering investment to ensure a front row seat in the era of man-machine coexistence.

He lives in a normal city apartment, a space that in a couple of years will transform into a laboratory of daily life assisted by a physical artificial intelligence.
The man from Saronno focused on Neothe humanoid robot designed by 1X Technologies. Unlike classic laboratory prototypes, Neo was designed specifically for the consumer market. It is a “general purpose” machine, designed to move fluidly in real environments, interact with human beings and carry out practical tasks within the home.
The project was recently presented in proto-commercial form and pre-orders were officially opened at the end of October. The company has provided two different methods for the acquisition:

For the thirty-year-old from Saronno, the operation represents a significant financial investment, which overall will be around 20.000 euro. As for timing, the first deliveries of the robot will begin in the United States in 2026, while forItaliaEurope and the rest of the world, the official debut in homes is expected for 2027.
The young man from Saronno says he is absolutely convinced of the choice made: “I believe that humanoid robots will be the future and that their arrival in our homes will be very rapid – he explains to ilSaronno.it – It is true that it is an important economic commitment, but I believe that being among the first will make the difference”.
A focal point of the Neo project is the safety. The company is investing heavily to ensure that physical interaction is risk-free. The man from Saronno underlines how attention to detail has been crucial to his trust in the brand: from soft and resistant materials to advanced sensors, up to controlled movements.
Particular attention was also dedicated to aesthetically secondary but functionally crucial elements, such as theclothing and footwear specifications of the robot, specifically designed to improve traction and safety in domestic movements.
