Not only tribute concerts and the Rock Cover Young Band contest open to young bands from the area inaugurated last year, this summer there will be other new features in the Rocca in Concerto schedule, which will have music as always as protagonist. Thursday 4 July at 9:30 pm, first appointment with the format “Books that play”, presentation of musical books by artists, musicians and writers of national fame.
The star of the first evening is the famous Radio Capital DJ Luca De Gennaro who presents his book “Generazione alternativi 1991-1995. How underground music conquered the charts and revolutionized the market”. In this book De Gennaro tells the unpredictable story of the early nineties: from the Italian rave season to that of the posse in social centers, from Lollapalooza to Glastonbury, from the Nirvana-Guns N’ Roses rivalry to that of Blur-Oasis, from the beginnings of Jeff Buckley to the first concert of the Foo Fighters and much more. Moderator of the meeting Luigi Bertaccini, historic DJ and radio host, has curated historic residences of the 80s between Vidia club, Slego, Rolling stone in Milan, Riò, Indie, Cotton club, Modern casinò, and directed the Cesena Radio Melody. In the 90s he collaborated with the record company Vox pop and founded his own label Gina dischi.
The evening, seen as a shared and convivial situation, includes the possibility of dining at the Rocca refreshment point upon reservation, and then attending the meeting comfortably seated at the table.
