The book “21mila passi”, by Matteo Paciocco, published by Il Viandante, which can be purchased from today, will be presented on Tuesday 21 May, at 6pm, in the conference room of the Santo Spirito museum complex in Lanciano.

The author will dialogue with the publisher Arturo Bernava, the psychotherapist Silvia Marfisi will intervene, who will offer a key to understanding from the point of
psychological view.

“21milapassi is not a guide on how to tackle the Camino de Santiago in and of itself, but it is the story of a soul on a journey. At some point, something happened in my life. Something tragic. I lost the person I loved most in the world; forever. I saw all my certainties collapse around me and I had to face a great pain, a pain that my soul couldn’t give an image to. I just couldn’t do it, even if I tried. Then I started thinking about myself, I looked inside myself, I tried to see better at the bottom of that suffering and I found this book, where the pretext for telling it finds its reason for being in the preparation and in the stages I took. journey along the Path, facing something deeper. Take that first step. You will be amazed at how far you can go…”.

“21 thousand steps”, therefore, is not just a book, but a profound and touching journey through pain and rebirth. Paciocco, with great sensitivity and authenticity, shares his personal experience of mourning and healing. The book narrates his spiritual and experiential “travel” along the Camino de Santiago and within himself – a journey that represented a real catharsis for him, allowing him to face and overcome traumas and suffering resulting from the pain of death.

In these pages, the author opens his heart to readers, offering a sincere and intimate account of his sensations and the psychological journey that has accompanied him in recent years. “21 thousand steps” aims to be a voice for all those people who find themselves facing great traumas and difficult moments, offering a message of hope and sharing, accompanied by the wish – on the part of the author himself – to find, through his story, the strength to emerge from the darkness of suffering, discovering that one is never alone on the path of life, however difficult it may appear.
