On the occasion of the events for World Midwife Day, which occurs on Sunday

On the occasion of the events for World Midwife Day, which occurs on Sunday 5 May, in Ravenna, on Friday 3 May, the book “Birth plots, between myths, philosophies, images and stories”, written by the philosopher and essayist, will be presented Rossella Price.

The event will be an opportunity for discussion and in-depth analysis on the theme of birth, understood as the origin of the human, and of Life, questioning what new meanings can be attributed to “coming into the world”.

Doctor Francesco Catania, director of the Obstetrics – Gynecology unit and Sara Zagonari, provincial director of Family Consultations, will dialogue with the author.

The president of the Midwives Order, Oriana Gasperoni, will also speak.

The event will be coordinated by Giovanna Piaia, president of the association “Dalla parte dei Minori OdV and president of the Fondazione Scuola Alta Formazione Donne diGovern” and by Marina Magnani, a feminist friend of the Women’s Bookshop in Milan.

Also present will be Mirella Falconi, coordinator of the Degree Course in Medical Surgery of Ravenna, Maria Grazia Piscaglia, representative of the ASL Romagna Gender Medicine-Equity Board and Federica Moschini, councilor of the Municipality of Ravenna.
