Sanremo. It’s now official: the Lo Studiolo editions will be present at the Salone for the first time
Turin International Book Fair, which will take place from 9th to 13th May. The Sanremo publishing house was invited by the Liguria Region which is the host region of the 2024 edition to present a new
publication and offer visitors a vast selection from its book catalogue. Especially Lo
Studiolo will be the protagonist of the event “Liguria, land of music: great voices and classical notes” which will be held
in the Liguria Room of the oval pavilion Thursday 9 May from 12pm to 2pm. Working alongside other authors and publishers, we want to bring a part of the hinterland and its history to Turin: it will in fact be presented in
national preview of the volume entitled “Statutes of Bajardo, 1577” edited by Mario Gasparini, with writings by
Alessandro Giacobbe and Alessandro Carassale.
It is a rare document, translated from Latin for the first time by Luca Tenneriello, researcher at the La Sapienza University of Rome, which allows us to understand how the daily life of a rural community like that of Bajardo was organized at the end of the sixteenth century.
Commenting on this work will be Professor Enrico Basso, professor of Medieval History at the University of Turin, but the words will alternate with notes with the Pizzicante Duo formed by Freddy Colt on mandolin and Davide Frassoni on guitar in the interpretation of dances and popular melodies of the historical period. The Mayor of Bajardo Remo Moraglia will also be present at the Turin meeting. The event is made possible thanks to the coordination of the De Ferrari Foundation of Genoa. A wide selection of books by Lo Studiolo will then be available for purchase at the Sala Liguria for the entire duration of the Fair until May 13th.
