Unaltroteatro by Lorenza Sorino and Arturo Scognamiglio offers, for the first time, a rich calendar of events for the “May of Books”, in collaboration with the Libreria Moderna, Fabulinus&Minerva by Micaela Ortolano: all events will be held at the municipal Auditorium Zambra in Ortona , every Thursday, at 6.30 pm, in the foyer.

To accompany the events there will be musical moments, readings, memories, debates but also many touching moments: “The structure we manage goes well with various types of initiatives. In addition to the theater season which has just ended and the cinema which always arouses its interest, we have hosted exhibitions, courses and training, but for the first time we have decided to host a real literary review to contribute to the diffusion of book culture in the month dedicated to it one of its peculiarities”, explains the production.

It starts on Thursday 2 May, with the presentation of the book by journalist Fabio Iuliano, “Oceans”, for Radici Edizioni: the journey of a young musician, who retraces his memories through the music and places of the past, to return to relive what he for him it was the most important night. And for the occasion, music will be physically present.

We continue on May 9th with “Il giallo nel verde”, by Tony Zitella, for Masciulli Edizioni: a detective story takes place in the greenery of a village in Abruzzo. A young farmer, a female magistrate, an elderly police marshal will unravel the intricate skein, thus arriving at the solution to the mystery. A mystery that has the flavor of village dishes, the colors of the fields, the sounds of the dialects, the fragrance of the mentioned loves.

On May 16th, memories and tears of emotion will flock to the event which will see guests Margherita Rebuffoni and Maurizio Toffa, the parents of Nadia Toffa, journalist of the program “Le Iene” who passed away on August 13th 2019, after fighting a terrible illness. “Don’t be good” by Chiarelettere, this is the testimony that Nadia Toffa left inviting everyone to enjoy the beauty of life and it was she who asked mother Margherita to publish her writings to continue bearing her testimony and remain herself until the end.

On May 23, for “Comete – Scie d’Abruzzo”, the editorial project of Ianieri edizioni and series director Peppe Millanta, “Parole d’Abruzzo” by Daniela D’Alimonte will be presented: its pages are reviewed some of the most iconic words of the Abruzzo dialect. The transcription with some conventional signs and the actual phonetic transcription has been reported for each term.

May 30th ends with “Elaborate forms of solitude” for The Ship of Theseus: here are the protagonists of Tony Laudadio’s new novel, the many characters, all distant from each other yet united by a thin, resistant thread.

At the end of each appointment there will be a convivial moment with a glass of wine offered by the Enoteca Regionale d’Abruzzo. The event enjoys the support of Donnè, Lions Club and Inner Wheel. For info you can call 3454367809, or contact [email protected].
