The Municipality of Naples participates in the «World Book and Copyright Day» putting Port’Alba at the center of the events scheduled for tomorrow 23 April. Reading and music in the historic street of books for the appointment, which will become permanent within the cultural programming of the city of Naples, curated by the Port’Alba Cultural Association, ACE Associazione Campana Editori and NapoliCittàLibro, as part of the activities of the Pact for Reading of the Municipality of Naples, which aims to spread book culture in the city.

Aware of the value of culture as a driver of social and economic development, through the Pact for Reading the municipal administration welcomes and promotes initiatives coming from the territory which favor access to knowledge and the diffusion of creativity, creating important opportunities for active involvement for all citizens and enhancing the cultural heritage of the city.

From 6pm a reflection on the importance of books and copyright in society, with readings by Annalisa Angelone, Angela Ansalone, Alessandro Bacarelli, Chiara Effuso, Claudio Ciccarone, Claudio Pennino, Vittorio del Tufo, Luca Delgado, Gennaro di Biase, Gigi Di Fiore, Federica Flocco, Gianfranco Gallo, Pino Imperatore, Lello Marangio, Francesca Marone, Lorenzo Marone , Antonio Menna, Paolo Miggiano, Marco Molino, Vincenzo Patella, Alessandro Polidoro, Isabella Pedicini, Claudio Pennino, Martin Rua, Antonio Sacco, Sergio Siano, Ciro Tremolaterra, Nando Vitali, Rossella Capobianco, Alessia Castellano, Rossella Capobianco, Rossella Corporente, Teresa De Rosa, Fortuna Fogliano, Carmela Merlino, Fabio Paesano, Andrea Ruggiero, Cherubina Santoro, Stefania Trigilio, Veronica Varriale.

the presentation of the volume «Day of Anger. The prodigious events of a Valencian nobleman of the 15th centuryI», of Vicent Josep Escarti at 5.30 pm at O’BookUnconventional Library, cultural space of the Renaissance Naples Hotel Mediterraneo, Via Ponte di Tappia 25. The event is organized by the Guida alla Cultura Foundation and Biancamaria Sparano, and the Delegation in Italy of the Government of Catalonia will contribute to the initiative of setting up a corner with the poster of the Sant Jordi festival, the sale of books by Catalan authors translated into Italian and the gift, to the buyers of these books, of a rose and a bookmark postcard.

The meeting «Read Annalisa», which will be held at the Annalisa Durante Library in via Vicaria Vecchia 23, at 10, with readings by students of the GB Angioletti State Comprehensive Institute of Torre del Greco taken from the books that tell the story of the young victim of the Camorra «Il Diario di Annalisa» by M. Andolfo, published by Tullio Pironti, 2005; «Broken Wings» by P. Miggiano, published by Di Girolamo, 2015; «The Heroes of Leucolizia» by E. Iantosca, published by Perrone, 2020.

The event “Read everyone Read everywhere», part of the Tazebao project, a digital wall library, conceived by the Leggere per Association and which has already involved the Michelangelo and Gigante comprehensive schools, the Palizzi artistic and dance music high school and the Duca degli Abruzzi technical-nautical institute – which includes the presentation , at the ISIS Archimede school library, Via Emilio Salgari 8, of a virtual shelf of 5 stories donated by well-known writers from Campania and 5 stories created by the students of the institute.

The readings aloud organized by ISIS Elena di Savoia – Diaz at Largo S. Marcellino 15, in which students and teachers of the Institute will take part in the dual role of protagonists and spectators.

The double event dedicated to the little ones and organized by the Cooperativa Sociale Progetto Uomo, which includes readings for children from 0 to 3 years and for their mothers at 11.00/12.30, at the Municipal Ludoteca in Piazza Miracoli 37 and the event «Books in play, small readings for big games» scheduled at 5pm at Parco Costantino in Soccavo as part of the project «A city to play».
