“Is the Beckhams’ life really as perfect as they would like the world to believe?” this is the question that Tom Bower started withwriting his new book House of Beckham: Money, Sex and Power. The author, known for his investigative biographies, promises to reveal the darkest details of the golden life built by David and Victoria Beckham between “money, sex and power”. There is no doubt that the Beckhams love to present themselves as one of the most solid couples in Hollywood, a united family and a winning brand, as is demonstrated by their documentary series on Netflix and the recent party for Vic’s 50th birthday. But, according to Bower, there is much more and promises revelations and a finally truthful portrait of the two billionaires.

“When I started researching the Beckhams for the book, I was sure that an in-depth account of their lives would be an extremely entertaining and revealing read,” said the author two months after the book’s release, in British bookstores from June 20th, “but I too was surprised to discover such a compelling and previously untold story.” We can expect to retrace David Beckham’s football career, Victoria Adams aka Posh Spice’s career in music and fashion, but also their love, the rumors about cheating, the birth of their four children Brooklyn (now married to Nicola Peltz ), Romeo, Cruz and Harper and the building of the financial empire that revolves around the family.

“It’s a surprising result to have maintained your image despite the ups and downs,” commented Bower who seems determined to give the public a more multifaceted (and less flattering) version of the Beckham clan, a behind the scenes story that is unlikely to please interested parties, built through testimonies and documents. “The Beckhams made sure a lot of people didn’t talk to me,” the author told the Mirror, «But I found enough people to interview and received many interesting revelations. We think we know everything, but in reality there is a huge amount of things we don’t know that the public will discover.”
