The new book published these days by Eng Lamberto Fornari, entitled “Don Camillo and Peppone; successes in every season” deals in a broad and detailed manner with the legendary and very nice parish priest and mayor, created by the brilliant pen of Giovannino Guareschi, author of many books.
Giovannino Guareschi (Fontanelle di Roccabianca, 1 May 1908 – Cervia, 22 July 1968) was a great writer, journalist, Italian humorist and caricaturist. He is one of the most read and translated Italian writers in the world (with over 20 million copies of books sold), even being plagiarized in Vietnam.
The preview presentation of his new book was a wonderful experience for the author.Don Camillo and Peppone; successes every season“, with full appreciation of Alberto Guareschi, who collaborated in drafting the volume. The book is published by Bertoni Editore.
The volume was indeed introduced in a very crowded room, at the “Club dei 23”, a Roncole Verdiin the province of Parma, the legendary house museum of Guareschi, creator of the famous parish priest and the famous mayor.
