Three books by the Sardinian writer, Rossana Carcassi, will be discussed this afternoon in Lausanne, Switzerland, at the Salle Paroissiale de Chavannes près Renens, chemin des Glycines 3. These are “The Archivist of Algiers” and “The Secret of Amina”, both published by Paolo Sorba (who will be present at the event) and “L’Orafo”, published by Il Maestrale.

The event is organized by the Circolo Sardo Nuraghe, of Lausanne, which is part of the Federation of Sardinian Clubs in Switzerland. The literary initiative promoted in Switzerland has the title: “A chat with the Sardinian author, Rossana Carcassi, inspiration, historical research, writing”.

The evening will be introduced by Josiane Masala, president of the Circolo Sardo Nuraghe, while the vice president and press officer, Roberta Pilia, will coordinate the initiative. The writer and author of the books will be present. Rossana Carcassi was born in Sassari but grew up in La Maddalena where she attended school and where she obtained her high school diploma. Having graduated from the University of Sassari, she taught literary subjects for many years at the Giuseppe Garibaldi High School in La Maddalena. She now lives between La Maddalena and Losanna, where she works and writes. With “L’orafo”, her first novel, Carcassi won the Junturas Prize in 2004.
