The trial a Chiara Petrolini. The 21 -year -old student – which is now under house arrest – he must answer for the double murder of his children, to die (it is the accusation) just gave birth. The first body was found on August 9, 2024. The boy was born two days earlier: his mother had buried him in the garden and then left for a holiday with his parents and brother. A month later, the carabinieri also identified the remains of another child. They were under a palm of earth from 12 May 2023. The young woman would have done everything alone, hiding pregnancies from both family members and her boyfriend.
Student and babysitter
Chiara, the good provincial girl, the model student, the respected babysitter, volunteer in the parish and appreciated by everyone, accused of premeditated volunteer murder and suppression of the corpse of her two children. A story that has shaken Italy, a story so absurd that it does not seem true.
The Bologna Review Court that had ordered the custody in prison for Chiara, had defined her as follows: “Lucida, cold, unscrupulous … In her there is an apparent lack of any rethinking, as well as brazenness, total ease in personal relationships even more intimate, exceptional abilities both of hiding from her misdeeds and mixed and dissimulation, lack of participation and compassion”.
