At Palazzo Bonocore the book by Anna Maria Ferraro and Girolamo Lo Verso on Eros, Vita and Clinica

A journey into the most intimate folds of human experience, between desire, suffering, relationships and the possibility of rebirth. The book “D’amore and other things, Eros, Life and Clinic”, written by Anna Maria Ferraro and Girolamo Lo Verso, published by Alpes in the Psyche and surrounding series, will be presented on Thursday 3 July, at 6 pm at Palazzo Bonocore,

The text deals with complex issues related to intimacy, sexuality and relational dynamics, highlighting how past experiences, social expectations and internalized cultural models influence the ability to enter into relationship with oneself and with the other. The goal is to deconstruct the concept of “normality” in the emotional and sexual fields, bringing attention to the suffering that derive from internalized judgments, stereotypes and experiences of exclusion.

Between clinic and narration, the book offers a possible alternative to relational solitude, telling how the change can also be activated starting from the wounds. The clinical stories reported in the volume testify paths of care, awareness and transformation, illustrating with depth and delicacy the therapeutic power of the meeting and listening.

Guests and voices of dialogue

In addition to the authors, personalities of the cultural, artistic and academic world will speak to the presentation:

Barbara Vallesi Cardillo, psychotherapist and councilor of the Order of Psychologists of the Sicilian Region;
