Over 50 images, some of which are unpublished, tell the story of the work of one of the most famous war photographers who for the occasion also presents a ‘photographic fresco’ in the rooms of the Santa Giulia Museum. He is a photographer who has taken images from every theater of war.
From the protests of the Red Shirts in Thailand to the outbreak of the civil war in Ukraine, from the fighting for the liberation of Libyan territory and North Africa, from the forces of the Islamic State to the pastoral trip of Pope Francis to Iraq, Gabriele Micalizzi was a witness and narrator of some of the most important events in contemporary history.
He has collaborated on several occasions, with Fausto Biloslavo, who needs no introduction.
