Today, May 6, the sixth edition of the “ portamilassù2024 ” photography competition begins thanks to the collaboration between the TERRITORIES ASSOCIATION of Cuneo and Luca Borgoni’s family.
The photo contest was created to keep alive the memory and passions of the young student from Cuneo who lost his life on 8 July 2017 following a tragic accident on the Matterhorn. The boy loved the mountains experienced firsthand and photography as a tool for immortalizing emotions and natural landscapes.
The competition will end at midnight on 8 July 2024.
Participation is free and open to all photography lovers. The reference platform will be Instagram.
The images must describe the mountain landscape and, possibly, its sporting peculiarities (trekking, trail, ski mountaineering and snowalp) so loved by Luca. Participants will be able to submit an unlimited number of images and/or Reels to the competition by publishing them on their profiles using the hashtag portamilassù2024 . The shots and videos must be the property of the participants and must not infringe in any way the rights of third parties and must contain, if possible, an indication of the place immortalized.
30 photographs and 1 Reel will enter the final after being chosen by a special jury. Each author will be given a photo book containing the shots commented with phrases taken from the book TAKE ME THERE.
Over the years, the competition has seen growing interest and an increase in the level and beauty of the shots in the competition. Thousands of photographs posted with the dedicated tag. There was great involvement from dozens and dozens of photographers from northern Italy. A sort of network has been created between lovers of the mountains and the beauty of nature.
The awards ceremony became an opportunity to get to know each other in person and remember Luca through the wonder of the mountain landscapes accompanied by music and words taken from the book dedicated to him.
During the awards ceremony, the 5 finalists will be indicated and will be awarded prizes including a stay and breakfast for two people in Cervinia, a stay on the Ligurian Riviera offered by the Targatocn media partner, Salewa vouchers, desserts offered by the historic Arione pastry shop, an invitation to Torii restaurant in Cuneo and many other surprises.
