The world of Lanciotto at Palazzo Senza Tempo

A tribute to Lanciotto Baldanzi in the rooms of Timeless Palace. Here, in fact, tomorrow, Saturday 20 April at 6 pm, the exhibition will be inaugurated Lanciotto wanted to be a painteredited by Alberto Mugnaini and promoted by the Peccioliper Foundation and the Municipality of Peccioli, with the contribution of the “Lanciotto Baldanzi” Archive.

After the exhibition dedicated to Alessandro Ciulli, painter of Fabbrica, the journey continues valorisation of the artistic richness of Valdera: after all, Lanciotto Baldanzi, born on 14 February 1949, lived until his death in 2022 in Terricciola, his hometown.

In the village he worked incessantly and obsessively for over 50 years, leaving more than a thousand densely worked cardboards and canvasesbeyond several hundred drawings and assemblies. An artistic and human heritage which, thanks to the Palazzo Senza Tempo exhibition, has been analyzed in depth for the first time, after long months of cataloguing. Which, by the way, they also produced one monographic study by title Lanciotto wanted to be a paintercreated by Mugnaini.

The exhibition of Baldanzi’s works will remain open to visitors until February 2, 2025open every day from 9am to 8pm at Palazzo Senza Tempo ea free entry.

To understand and convey to the public the complex and unique personality of Baldanzi, the Peccioliper Foundation asked a Michele Santeramo, one of the greatest contemporary playwrights, to transpose it into a theatrical version.
