“Let’s start with this video released today by Hamas. Watch”. These are the words with which Massimo Gramellini begins the May 11th episode of In Altri Parole, La7’s weekend program. And immediately afterwards the images of an Israeli hostage taken by Hamas during the assault on Israel appear. “He – Gramellini resumes after the film – is called Nadav Popplewell, he is 51 years old, and he was kidnapped on 7 October in a kibbutz. In these ten seconds that you have seen Nadav can only tell us his name, but he seems fine except for the black eye. Gramellini then launches a lunge in concluding his editorial: “Now, every war sucks, but this one, if possible, a little more, because this is not only fought against those at the front or in the cities, but also against those who are at home waiting for the return of his loved ones.
