'Kingdom' (2019 - 2021)

Shogun is a new historical fiction miniseries created by Hulu and FX. The series is based on a 1975 novel by James Clavell. It features a group of European sailors who land in Japan just when the latter begins to enter into a sort of civil war. The recent ruler has died, but his son is too young to take his place, leaving five lords to vie for the throne. The film was a huge success, with nine million viewers in its first week, and was well received by critics.

If you’re a fan of this series, luckily, there are plenty of other shows worth watching, usually because they tap into the same tropes and genres. So long as Shogun it’s a miniseries, it’s already officially over. As this means there is sadly no season 2 of Shogun, you’ll need something to stream, right?
