CIVITANOVA MARCHE – After 7 long years and in front of around 5,000 spectators, Civitanovese returns to Serie D. A goal from Spain on a penalty kick, scored during the first half, was enough to hand the fourth series to president Profili’s rossoblu. A match with few emotions that Civitanova controlled with absolute mastery. At the start we saw a good Jesina, motivated and proactive, but as the minutes passed, Civitanovese took the lead and after the advantage, which came from a rather clear penalty kick, the little lions lost their driving force. In the second half the hosts passed the ball around without risking anything, while Jesina paid for the effort of the first half and never managed to pose a threat in Monti’s area. The whirlwind of substitutions at the end did not change the fate of the match (a much applauded Paolucci was seen back on the pitch) and after the final whistle the celebrations began. Civitanova has returned to Serie D!
