SARONNO – As had already happened other times, such as in March and September of last year, thieves once again targeted the sports hall of the “Monsignor Ronchi” youth center in via Colombo in Saronno. This time, during the night, they entered through a security door in the basementor, the one located at the bottom of the ramp for disabled people. From there they went back up to the ground floor where the playing field is, and went down on the other side, aiming for the bar. But they found themselves in front of a properly closed grate and were unable to force it, therefore having to give up the venture and leave empty-handed.
It was the youth center managers who discovered what happened and the incident was reported to the police. The incursion of the petty thieves this time did not cause much damage and the match between Az Saronno and Lucca, scheduled for this evening for the quarter-finals of the Interregional Serie B basketball championship, it will take place regularly, as scheduled from 9pm. The bar will also be open as usual.
