Two youth cycling events on Sunday in the province of Como, one in Faloppio dedicated to the Student category, the other in Brenna and reserved for the very young.

Starting from tomorrow morning, the best athletes from the province of Como will take to the field in Faloppio to face the challenge valid for the Allievi provincial championship. In fact, the Remo Calzolari Cycling Association has the task of best organizing the 37th edition of the Remo Calzolari Memory Trophy of the same name, a classic of the category which, as mentioned, will give away the white jersey of the Como territorial committee of FederCiclismo.

The race will cross the territories of Faloppio, Olgiate Comasco, Uggiate con Ronago and Faloppio five consecutive times; after this first circuit the participants will face a second circuit three times between Faloppio, Colverde (Gironico), Colverde (Drezzo) and Faloppio, before arriving under the arrival banner.

At the end of all the required steps, the kilometers behind the athletes who have reached the finish line will be 61. The meeting point is at 7 in the morning in via degli Alpini. Departure is set for 9am and arrival is scheduled for 10.40am.

Organized by the Alzate Brianza Sports Group, the 13th Angelo and Antonio Consonni Trophy will take place tomorrow afternoon on the streets of Brenna. The race, which as usual is dedicated to the youngest runners, i.e. those belonging to the very young category, will take place along a city route closed to traffic along Via Italia, Roma, Marconi, Trento and Fermi. The length of the course is one kilometre, with the G1s tackling it twice, the G2s four, the G3s six, the G4s eight, the G5s ten and the G6s twelve times.

Preceded by a promotional test for the little ones, the race will meet in the town’s oratory at 1.30pm; the first official start will be at 3pm, while the closing of the last heat is expected around 6pm.
