They have passed thirty years since the disappearance of Ayrton Senna. A legend, as the champion from San Paolo has always been defined, who lost his life following an accident in Imola, at the Tamburello curve, on May 1st 1994. Pure talent, a beloved champion not only in his native Brazil, on and off the track. The myth of him survives strongly even after so much time. Tomorrow Sky Sports F1 (channel 207) will dedicate special programming to Senna for a sad day, but which will allow us to remember the exploits of one of the strongest drivers ever. On Skysport.italso, a special with all the insights, stories and videos to celebrate Ayrton and Roland Ratzenberger who instead lost his life on April 30th of that cursed weekend.

Appointment with history then on Sky and NOW to celebrate the myth of Ayrton Senna, on the 30th anniversary of the fatal accident in Imola. Wednesday 1st MaySky Sport dedicates special programming to the legendary Brazilian driver, with documentaries, iconic races and links from Imola, to be experienced on Sky Sport F1 and streaming on NOW (all content will be available on demand). Off we go at 1pm with “Stories of Matteo Marani – Ayrton’s last lap” (repeat at 8pm), the special that retraces the last day of the Brazilian ace, reconstructing through the documents of the trial and the voices of the protagonists what it happened really on May 1st 1994 at the Tamburello curve.

At 14 “Senna Studio 30 years”: with Davide Camicioli, Giovanni Bruno and Ivan Capelli who will remember the Brazilian champion with connections from Imola with Simone De Luca where, at 2.17pm, the hours of the crash, a minute of silence will be held in memory of Senna and Roland Ratzenberger. From 2.30pm to 8pm, the marathon with all of Senna’s best races: from Monaco 1984 to his last victory, in Australia, in 1993. Scheduled for 9pm “Seine”a documentary that traces the champion’s career, from 1984 to his death (first broadcast this evening at 11pm on Sky Sport F1 and streaming on NOW).

Finally, at 10.30pm, appointment with “Del Piero presents: Ayrton Senna” the special in which Alessandro Del Piero and Giorgio Porrà relive the myth of Ayrton Senna, collecting the testimony of the great Brazilian driver’s sister, Viviane. Special appointments and insights also on Sky Sport 24, where the original gloves and helmet of the three-time world champion will be in the studio all day.
