Here’s Daulton Hommes: «What a joy to be back on the pitch: I want to help the team do great things». The new number 34 of Dolomiti Energia Trentino was presented to the press: it will debut in game 1 against Milan.

You all know the situation the team has found itself in in recent weeks, as well as the culture that the club has always chosen to demonstrate in these circumstances: it tries to respond to difficulties by enhancing the resources within the team. We were therefore looking for a solution that would allow us to respect what the team was doing, give us a hand to better face the end of the season and at the same time build something for what our future path could be. We found this opportunity in Daulton, who is a player who comes from a period of recovery from surgery but who is a player with an important past at a level even higher than ours: we are sure that inserted in a technical context who he already knows well, having worked in the past with coach Galbiati, can help the team in the playoff games now upon us.”
DAULTON HOMMES (Forward DOLOMITI ENERGIA TRENTINO): «I feel really happy to be here today: I went through a difficult season, in which I didn’t know if I would have the opportunity to take the field, and be able to do it now with an important team like Trento and in a Serie A playoff series it’s really exciting. I have completely recovered from the knee operation, what I lack is a bit of match rhythm but it has been helping me to train consistently for a few weeks now even in 5 against 5 situations. When the opportunity in Trento presented itself to me I didn’t I thought about it for a second: I know the team, I followed them throughout the year; and I know coach Paolo Galbiati even better, with whom I had worked in Cremona. I have always had a good relationship with him, and I think that his game system is perfect for a player with my characteristics: the club and the organization are different than Vanoli, but the type of basketball that the team expresses is similar and so I think I can fit in quickly. Now I just want to help the team make its way into the playoffs, to feel the joy of playing basketball again: I have great ambitions, and I had the perception of having arrived at a club equally determined to succeed. I can’t wait to get on the field and begin this fascinating adventure.”
