The usual Real Madrid. The usual European nights of Ancelotti’s teams. The Spaniards reach Borussia Dortmund in the last act of the Champions League. They did so by overturning Bayern Munich (2-1) in the final minutes of the second leg of the semi-final. The Bavarians had in fact taken the lead through Davies in the 68th minute. The Madrid team responded with a brace from Joselu, who came on in the 81st minute, in the 88th and 91st minutes. Next June 1st, at Wembley, it will therefore be Real Madrid-Borussia Dortmund. An unprecedented final.

the race

Ancelotti lines up Bellingham behind Vinicius and Rodrygo, Tuchel surprises by leaving Goretzka out to give space to Pavlovic. Gnabry, Musiala and Sané are in the midfield with Kane aiming. The pace is high from the first minutes: in the 6th minute Rodrygo arrives late on a perfect cross from Carvajal and fails to hit the ball. However, Bayern also showed up: in the 8th minute Pavlovic verticalized for Kimmich, who did well to lean on Musiala, who in turn extended the ball onto Gnabry, who missed the pass to Kane, very alone in front of the goal. From that moment on, Neuer took over: in the 13th minute he exalted himself on Vinicius by sending the ball to the post, and did it again in the 40th minute. In the 59th minute, Rodrygo’s free-kick save was spectacular, shortly afterwards, with his open hand, he blocked yet another shot from Vinicius. Bayern focuses above all on defending, in attack it shows sporadically: Kane comes close to taking the lead in the 29th minute with a beautiful volley (Lunin saves himself for a corner), Davies tries instead in the 48th minute, but his shot is deflected by Carvajal .

question and answer

As the minutes passed, the pace slowed down, and Bayern came out on top: in the 68th minute the Bavarians inevitably exploited a counterattack to take the lead. Kane serves Davies on the left, the Canadian centers, gets rid of Rüdiger and strikes Lunin with a shot that goes into the far corner. In the 73rd minute Real equalized: in the melee, after a series of rebounds, it was Lainer who inadvertently wrong-footed Neuer. However, the referee, called back by the VAR, annuls it due to an obvious foul by Nacho on Kimmich. Real tries to raise the center of gravity, but Vnicius and Rodrygo don’t have the energy they had at the start of the match. Bayern continues to be dangerous on the counterattack. Ancelotti reviews the lineup and inserts Joselu for Valverde. In the 88th minute, with the Germans momentarily down to 10 (Pavlovic was undergoing treatment), Vinicius broke through on the left, took center stage and shot. The shot doesn’t seem dangerous, but Neuer doesn’t hold onto the ball and allows Joselu to get to the rebound and beat it. Bayern gets confused and also collects the 2-1: from a corner Rüdiger receives the ball and puts it in the middle where Joselu beats Neuer again. The referee cancels it for offside, but the VAR corrects it. The goal is good. Ancelotti’s substitution turns out to be excellent, however, because Joselu takes him to the final. In the final seconds, Bayern protested after the referee’s whistle stopped a dangerous move by the Germans due to an alleged offside: De Ligt had scored, but the Madrid defense remained stationary. And so the final will be Real-Dortmund. Real Madrid again, Ancelotti again.
