From San Siro to the Duomo, Inter’s great Scudetto celebration – Football

After more than half an hour, the Nerazzurri team bus has covered just over two hundred meters of the eight kilometer route that will take Lautaro and his teammates to Piazza Duomo, with the caravan which could thus delay its arrival in the centre. Chants and smoke bombs surrounded the passage of the two Inter buses, with the players and also the staff astride the parapet. Among the wildest were Barella, Dimarco and Dumfries but also Farris, Inzaghi’s deputy.

Inter’s championship parade has started. The two open buses (the first with the team and the second with the staff) have just left San Siro, being welcomed outside the Meazza garage by thousands of cheering fans who opened up and let the Inter caravan pass between two wings of the crowd.
The first to get on the bus were Arnautovic, Calhanoglu and Pavard, followed little by little by the rest of the team including coach Simone Inzaghi. Music blared straight away from the bus speakers, while flags with two stars also appeared on the sides and the words “Italian champions” and “The second star is ours, thank you Inter fans” can be read on the two buses. !”. And there was also no shortage of the first chants from the megaphone, with the footballers (Dimarco and Barella among the first to take the microphone) singing “the league leaders are leaving” and “we are the Italian champions” between a few beers and selfies of group.

Soccer; Serie A: FC Inter vs Torino

In May 2021, Covid did not allow Inter to embrace their fans after winning the Scudetto. There was no lack of celebration, both at San Siro and in the streets of the city, but without the classic open-top bus parade. Today, however, everything is ready for the great Nerazzurri parade which after the match against Torino will fill the streets of Milan to celebrate the triumph in the championship, after the improvised party of fans and players last Monday following the success in the derby which gave the mathematical certainty of the victory of the twentieth tricolor.

Once the match against the Granata is over and the post-match showers and interviews have been completed, Inter will board two open buses with departure scheduled for around 4pm from the Meazza. From there, a route of around eight km will begin which will pass from the San Siro area to Corso Sempione, with a stop in front of the headquarters in Viale della Liberazione before passing under the Scala and finally arriving in Piazza Duomo around 8pm. A long procession which will then end with the arrival of the team on Terrace 21, from which the players will greet the fans and start the party.

There was also a substantial deployment of police forces, while on Friday the prefect of Milan Claudio Sgaraglia ordered a ban in the party areas on the administration and sale of alcoholic and spirit drinks, take-away sales in glass containers and cans both in fixed form and street vendors, without prohibiting ordinary consumption with table service. But it won’t be the last Nerazzurri party. In fact, on May 19th, after the match against Lazio, the cup will be awarded to the team on the pitch, followed by a concert in which Ligabue, Bocelli and Max Pezzali could be the protagonists, among others.

Tricolor choreography for the Curva Nord

A tricolor surrounded by Nerazzurri colors and the writing “Dale campeon”, meaning “come on champions” in Spanish. This is the choreography that Inter’s Curva Nord displayed when Lautaro Martinez and his teammates entered the pitch before the match against Torino. Instead, a tricolor with the number 14 appeared in the stands of the second blue tier, i.e. the scudetto that the FIGC awarded to the Nerazzurri for the 2005/06 season after the Calciopoli scandal. Furthermore, after the Serie A anthem, tricolor confetti exploded on the sidelines, with everyone chanting “we are the champions of Italy”

Choirs for Inzaghi, the coach misses with San Siro

“Jump with us, Simone Inzaghi”, sings the entire San Siro. And the Inter coach, after a few moments of hesitation, jumps together with the entire Meazza and smiles happily for winning the scudetto. The coach from Piacenza was in fact among the first recipients of the chants from the Curva Nord during the match against Torino, in a festive atmosphere that continued between chants and flags.

Torino catwalk for the Italian champions

Homage and catwalk by Torino to Italian champions Inter. In fact, the entire Granata team lined up on two sides as they entered the pitch, welcoming the Nerazzurri with a long round of applause. Several of the players exchanged compliments, while the former Inter player Bellanova hugged his former teammates. A gesture of great sportsmanship from Torino, to which the entire San Siro responded with collective applause.

Inter’s celebration inside the stadium

Marotta, ‘we want to continue the cycle with Inzaghi’

“We started the cycle with Inzaghi a few years ago and he passed the exam: in a top club you have to demonstrate with facts, he has shown that he is good and successful, you can’t get better than that. He is young and ambitious, we want to continue living this cycle, which will end sooner or later, but we are not even halfway there.” Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta said this, interviewed by Dazn before the match against Torino. “Renewal of Lautaro and another great striker? Next year there will be a challenging season with also the Club World Cup, the squad must be supported as best as possible but we must also deal with sustainability: we will try to make a creative transfer market.”

Team at San Siro amidst chants and smoke bombs

Inter’s celebration of winning the Scudetto is ready to begin. The team parade with the open-top bus will only begin after the match against Torino (kick-off at 12.30), but in the meantime the fans have already started to gather around San Siro. And there was already a first hint of celebration upon the arrival of the team bus (on which the two stars appear for the twentieth scudetto won) at the stadium for the match against the Granata: the Inter fans in fact awaited the players with chants , smoke bombs and fireworks, in an already Nerazzurri atmosphere more than an hour before the match against Torino. Even at the various metro stops on the lilac line, which takes you to the stadium, there was no shortage of moments of chants and teasing from fans towards rivals Milan and Juventus.
