How is Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes doing at the box office? A situation to be monitored carefully, given that as we know Disney has planned a new Planet of the Apes trilogy if Wes Ball’s film does well at the box office, so let’s look at the first data immediately.
After the first screenings from Thursday’s previews, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is off to a great start with 6.5 million dollarswith screenings starting from 3.00 pm and a total that also includes the proceeds of 1.6 million accumulated on Wednesday 8 May from the fan screenings organized from 7.00 pm: pending the recounts, it could already be the best Thursday of previews best ever for the sagaas the previous record, set by Matt Reeves’ The War for the Planet of the Apes in 2017, was set at $5 million.
