CIVITAVECCHIA – «In recent days, the Borgata Aurelia neighborhood has had to deal with a difficult situation: the absence of drinking water for three consecutive days. This poor service, which has created inconvenience and concern among residents, is a symptom of a broader problem that cannot and must not be ignored.”
This is said by M5S and UP candidate Vincenzo D’Antò who intervenes on the disservice which, for too long now, has prevented the citizens of the peripheral neighborhood from enjoying the water service regularly.
«Borgata Aurelia – he continues –, like many other neighborhoods of Civitavecchia, relies on a water service managed mainly by ACEA, but with the involvement of other operators. This complex management structure, however, seems to have led to a backlash of responsibility every time problems like the current one arise. It is important to underline that the citizens of Civitavecchia, including Borgata Aurelia, pay their water bills regularly, like any other citizen. Therefore, it is absolutely legitimate to expect an efficient and timely service, as well as clear and immediate responses from the managers who they support with their contributions”.
For D’Antò «Borgata Aurelia is already dealing with many critical issues and we cannot allow the lack of water to become a further source of concern for its inhabitants. They deserve peace and security, and we will do everything we can to ensure they get what is right and due. I therefore ask for immediate action on the part of the competent authorities to ensure that this situation is resolved as soon as possible and that the backlash of responsibility that has characterized this affair is put to an end.”
