“Beware of those two”: great success between sport and charity

The Vero Volley Consortium and AC Monza together for an exciting evening of curiosities, anecdotes and memories, with a careful look at the future of sport and beyond. This and much more was “Attention to those two”, a charity event which saw two protagonists of the sporting world such as Adriano Galliani and Alessandra Marzari at center stage.

In fact, at the exclusive Rinascente Lounge of the U-Power Stadium in Monza, the CEO of AC Monza and the President of the Vero Volley Consortium, expertly involved by the journalist and writer Leo Turrini, gave rise to a dialogue under the banner of tales and “stories of a life in sport”.

Alessandra Marzari, President of the Vero Volley Consortium introduced the event: “I am very happy to be here for this evening which has a very important purpose. This event was born thanks to a meeting with an acquaintance of mine who today collaborates with the Centro Mamma Rita, a project that I particularly care about. The Centre, in addition to promoting the care of children, gives mothers the opportunity to return to being mothers after having lived difficult experiences. I thank the sisters for all the activity they carry out. This synergy between Vero Volley and AC Monza is very important for the entire territory“.

Adriano Galliani, Deputy Vice President and CEO of AC Monza commented: “It’s nice to see AC Monza and Vero Volley join forces to support a historic community rooted in the area like Centro Mamma Rita. We hope to have given concrete help to allow the Center to continue its commendable activities. For the city of Monza, hosting two sporting events of this level represents a great opportunity also from a social point of view with the involvement of thousands of people through their passion for sport”.

The objective of the event, however, was not only to retrace the great emotions experienced in all these years at the top of volleyball and football, but also and above all to support the activities of the “Centro Mamma Rita”, Monza’s historic reception community for young people with serious socio-family difficulties, who started his business way back in 1964.

Between the over 150 participants in the solidarity aperitif and the proceeds from the charity auction, with the ban on sports memorabilia and “experiences” linked to both Monza sporting realities, the objective was fully achieved. In fact, over 20 thousand euros were collected during the evening and due for the activities of the Mamma Rita Center.
