Parking at the Modena Polyclinic is now easier with the new IT management. News for citizens who go to the emergency room of the hospital with their own transport. In order to evolve and further computerize the service provided to users, the Modena University Hospital will launch a new system for recording parked vehicles from Monday 13 May in the car park dedicated to those who need emergency/urgent services.
Until today, those who used the approximately 60 free stalls located next to the Emergency Room, with access from Via Giuseppe Campi, had to register their presence directly at the triage, obtaining a coupon which had to be displayed on the dashboard of their vehicle so that security could check the eligibility requirements for parking in that area. From next week this will no longer be necessary.
In fact, the citizen now, after having parked, once you reach the emergency room you will find a white totem available in the waiting room, through which you will have to enter the patient’s surname (not the owner of the vehicle or the driver if he is a companion) e the license plate number of the parked vehicle. Entering the data is sufficient for the security to receive, electronically, the data needed to authorize the use of the car park and therefore not remove the vehicle. The terminal does not provide any printed receipt, but only a screen verifying that the vehicle has been registered. In this way, once you enter the hospital, it will no longer be necessary to return to the car park to affix the coupon to the vehicle in which you arrived.
This system is active not only in the General Emergency Department of the Modena Polyclinic, but also in the specialized ones (Pediatric Admission, Obstetric-Gynecological Admission, Hand and Ophthalmology Surgery) where the totem has been made available to users where you can enter the data to register your free parking.
The recommendation to users is to write down the license plate number of the vehicle used to reach the emergency room, so as not to have problems with registration.
