THE MATCH
Mister Gianluca Marzuoli chooses to start with the five made up of Jozi, Diana Santos, Tampa, Renatinha and Luciléia. After Lanzilotti’s initial scare, Bitonto took the lead in the 2nd minute Lucileia who returns yet another post hit between returns by Renatinha and makes it 1-0 for the neroverde. Bitonto gets excited and after exactly one turn of the clock they score 2-0 with Lucileia who receives a long pass from Jozi and volleys home a splendid goal to make it 2-0 for the Lionesses. In the 4th minute the Kick Off comes alive with Lanziloti hitting the outside post from the left. In the 14th minute, first Stegius shoots wide, then Jozi’s long throw Renatinha makes no mistakes one-on-one with Brugnoni, replacing Di Polloni who was struck by illness and makes Bitonto 3-0. With five to go, Kick Off tries to keep Bitonto’s momentum going by playing the card of the fifth man of movement.
The move proved to be the right one with the Lombard team finding the net in the 16th minute Stegiusgood at repelling the numerous rebounds from the Neroverde rearguard into the net to make 1-3 Kick Off at half-time.
In the second half the Kick Off surprised everyone and started again from the first minute with Bortolini as the fifth man on the move. But the music doesn’t change Lucileia after just one turn of the clock Bitonto makes it 4-1 and scores a personal hat-trick, first controlling and then sending it into the small area. In the 5th minute there was a clash between Diana Santos and Lanziloti: the Milanese player got the worst of it and was forced to leave the pitch on a stretcher. In the 6th minute, a sensational double chance missed first by Mansueto and then by Grieco, both well placed at the far post, but both inaccurate with the ball ending up wide in both cases.
The goal is in the air and arrives in the 8th minute Meek takes advantage of a lost ball in the attack zone for the Kick Off and with an empty net Bitonto makes it 5-1. A few seconds pass and with the same dynamic Bitonto scores six with his left foot Tampa who kicks from his own half of the pitch and hits the goal. In the 11th minute Kick Off seems to throw in the towel and takes advantage Lucileia who from mid-court makes it 7-1 and personal poker. In the 15th minute Mansueto shoots hard from the edge, Brugnoni is attentive and deflects it excellently into the corner in a plastic flight.
In the final Divincenzo, Trumino and Abbadessa enter, with the Kick Off competing instead with the young lines Teani, Carboni and Donadoni. And it’s exactly the same Abbess in the 18th minute to score both the 8-1 goal and his first goal among the greats of the season. At the final whistle it is 8-1 for Bitonto, who Saturday 11 at 8pm the passage to the semi-finals will be played against the winner of Molfetta – Montesilvano.
