A Tunisian worker, already under investigation for mistreatment, stabbed his wife to death and then committed suicide. It happened in a public building in Riccò del Golfo, in the La Spezia area. The Carabinieri are on site, reconstructing what happened, and the medical examiner Susanna Gamba. The bodies of the 50-year-old worker and his 47-year-old compatriot wife were found by the police who were alerted by the director of the school where the couple’s 12-year-old daughter studies. The little girl was waiting in vain for her mother to pick her up, so much so that her manager became worried about her. The police found the two bodies in the living room, in a pool of blood. On the ground is the kitchen knife that the man used against his wife, who was killed with several slashes to the abdomen. Then the man killed himself by stabbing himself several times in the chest with the same knife. The two bodies will be subjected to an autopsy. According to what was learned, the worker had been reported by his wife for mistreatment towards him and his daughter on 4 April 2024, a complaint which had triggered the ban on personal approach and domicile.
